Angela Akins Gracia developed a love of sports when she was a kid and decided to try golf. To master the art of creating an accurate and controlled swing, Angela took several lessons. As she grew more skilled, she gained experience and subsequently won in excess of eight golf tournaments when she was she was in high school. In her time as the captain of Mable Falls high school golf team Garcia was able to lead her team to 3rd spot in the regional 2003 competition and they subsequently came as sixth place in 2006. She has won more than 17 medals at national competitions, and is a member to the Women's Texas Golf Association. Upon graduation from high school Garcia was admitted into Texas Christain University studied there for a short time before transferring to the University of Texas. The University of Texas provided her with more rivalry at the University and her skills became more pronounced over the course of time. Even though the lady found joy and satisfaction as a golfer Angela Akin Garcia never dreamt of pursuing golf professionally instead she was drawn to journalism. After graduating in journalism, she got a job as a Fox Sports Southwest reporter.
